Tasmanian Black
This is a striking open-pollinated variety from the island state of Australia. This medium-hot pepper produces long, uniquely shaped pods (up to 3.75+") that ripen from black to dark orange-red. Plants grow into semi-large bushes reaching 3.5+ feet, though they can be pruned to stay compact and ornamental in pots. Semi-productive and well-suited for cooler climates, these peppers fruit in their first year and can be overwintered for multiple seasons. Great in salads, salsas, and rice dishes—or simply as a stunning indoor plant!
